Welcome AI

Welcome to a world that is falling apart.
World leaders no longer care, replaced by an AI heart.
There are more questions to answer that were once easily unheard.
Society is now throttled with the wicked and absurd.

A bit of consciousness and common boundaries are all that is needed.
However, the forces may not be concentrated on reality, and nothing has been heeded. Rife with Strife and poverty in the streets with no drink or bread or to lay my head. I sleep wrapped in the glow of my own body heat in my poorly clothed body in the street. Will this be my last night here, where I ponder my own fate?

Waiting to escape the rough nights that await.
For me, it is not my lot in life that worries me, but rather the conscience of society that has put them here.  The abandonment of what makes us human has now been lost to AI fear.

Shuffle to a Mission

Moving forward I can hear the harmony of our feet.
As we shuffle to a mission for our first rest and to eat.
The faces around me are young and old with despair.
Our American dream is now broken without care.

What happened to a fulltime job with good pay?
Social security, benefits, and time to pray.
At a busy street corner with a handheld out.
Head down and pride put aside as people shout.

Home is a shelter with my thoughts alone.
The day begins by begging as my stomach moans.
I see for sale, foreclosure, and bankrupt around me.
When will the government bailout the real needy?

Rumology

Glass half empty with cubes ready to mingle.
Pour the smooth drink for a tasty tingle.
A full glass of rum with two splashes of coke.
A nice way to relax while lighting up a smoke.

A hard day’s work deserves a dance with the devil.
The alcoholic drink can make any mortal mellow.
Sit back, drink slow, let time drag on.
Before you know it the rum of bottle is gone.

Looking at the bottom of an empty glass.
Cubes melted away, with no more rum to pass.
On to the next drink with friends to share.
Anyone for a shot of sambuca, or does anyone care?

The Whispering Grass

Walking through the whispering grass.
I can hear the words from the past.
The voices from yesterday’s village.
War has destroyed this place in ultimate pillage.

We wash our hands of an enemies disgrace.
Let’s forgive the sinners and rebuild this place.
I hear a child weep, not much older than me.
No mother, No father left alone to be.

Our land is barren with no food or drink.
Prosperity lies in ourselves, and how we think.
Open arms must present themselves in this despair.
A helping hand, to give and share.

My place in this world is for me to unfold.
As I hear the grass whisper of stories untold.
I will remember what I hear and see
To remind the world of why we should be free.

The Day After

The days travel has finally come to an end.
This great country of ours can begin to mend.
Thank-you for giving me the final vote.
Your steadfastness and resilience has given us new hope.

We can accomplish anything with you by my side.
Our future now is great let us begin this ride.
Hand in hand, black and white.
Let this great nation heal, and reunite.

Our prosperity is within each other
Turn to either side and look to your brother.
The world after this election has cheered with glee.
Not because, I’m president but because of you and me.

A new beginning has emerged.
We must remember in this election we purged,
Not only our sins, but a president named bush.
Let the U.S. grow again, and flourish.

The Universe

If the universe is the measure of my love,
Let both arms reach this and wrap me around you.
Only then can we treasure the joining of life together,
With everlasting peace within.

The peace of fulfillment, commitment, and understanding.
Understanding of our dreams, who we are, of where we belong.
Belongingness, which is the salt of the earth.
Let me reach that and beyond to the limits of the universe.

A Falling Heart

Take the care out of the world the nonsense selfishness is absurd.
The beats of our hearts are no longer in sync,
Our paths went astray we must make space to think.
How did our hearts begin to fall with these sacrifices and all?

The world needs to be in order with a hand for sharing.
A falling heart in a million people is a lack of caring.
If I look at you and you look at me do you see what I see?
Is this the only way and does it have to be?
Look around and hear the heart go weaker,
More and more people feel apart from here.

Let nature and nurture be part of our lives.
Let it engulf our being,
and rejoice in starting a new drumbeat for our heart.
An extra beat to our heart is a minute gained in our life.
So, listen to the beats of our lives.

The Wave – Miami South Beach

As the water rolls in, it caresses the natures path into existence.
The wave beats its drums loudly,
Letting humanity know to respect their surroundings.
On their clearest of days, the waves are beautiful,
Rushing, filling, laughing and collapsing into one another.
They are like children playing until fulfilled.
The crystal blue water turns into a large white mountain,
Pounding, itself repeatedly into the sand.
May each generation experience a simple wonder of nature’s existence.

Ode to a New Year!

The final days of 2008 are beginning to blend,
Getting ready for the last party that will never end,
Putting on my threads for an evening to look fine,
Ending this year on a high note with friends of mine,

Need to make a News Years resolution by tonight,
Getting back into shape will be quite a fight,
How about keeping in touch with people you care,
And sending a video, picture, or story to share,

Hope everyone had a great year in 2008,
Ode to a New Year, with anticipation we wait,
Best wishes to all our family and friends.
Hope to see you before 2009 ends!

Yes We Can, Yes We Did!

There is no time for reflection, after this important election.
We begin the day on tackling problems and how to solve them.
Throughout the campaign, we believed in Yes We Can.
We didn’t need a superhero just a common man.

Moving forward and creating a team ready to select.
The historic moment is no party for the President-elect.
The many problems at hand are abounding.
We know the economy is no longer sound.

He has taken control before his inauguration
With his quickness in speed, he can affect a generation.
U.S. workers are struggling to survive.
Will the loans and bailout spark the economy alive?
